Kurrimine Beach Wallpaper

One of the more popular spots in Tropical North Queensland, Australia, is Mission Beach. It sits half way up the Cassowary Coast , south of Cairns, and it’s popularity is very understandable. It’s a sleepy little beach town with the perfect climate and not a lot going on. In winter it gets pretty well flooded with “grey nomads”. Hordes of retirees from the southern states like Victoria and South Australia spend much of the winter travelling north with their RVs, camper vans, and trailers.

We had one lovely night in a campground in Mission Beach, but then all the campers on unpowered sites were evicted due to council coming to assess the sites. We headed north to the next beach along the coast, Kurrimine Beach, and were lucky to get the last campsite. We didn’t have much time to explore the beach, as we were hitting the road early to drive the waterfall loop in the Atherton Tablelands. I did manage to get up for sunrise and walk to the south end of the beach to fly the drone over Garners Beach and Clump Mountain National Park.
